II Conference of the Transfer Offices of Catalan Universities
Description:
The II Conference of the Transfer Office of Catalan Universities will take place on 13 June, an initiative that will bring professionals of the sector together to promote innovation, knowledge transfer, and collaboration between the academic and business world.
During the conference, experts in transference and innovation matters will meet to foster networking amongst university technicians. Some of the themes to be discussed will be the use of Artificial Intelligence in Transfer Offices, funding options for spin-offs, and the new European legislation on AI and its effects on research and technology transfer.

Conference on a "Virtual Reality Community"
Description:
The UAB Open Labs organises this conference, which responds to the desire of different researchers to incorporate virtual reality as a tool for transfer, research and teaching innovation. This initiative was born with the aim of creating a group or collective in which to share technological resources and also knowledge, doubts, concerns and experiences around this tool. To form part of this group it is not necessary to have knowledge or experience in virtual reality.
La jornada compatrà amb una mostra d’experiències en realitat virtual dins la UAB, la presentacions dels assistents, un breu anàlisi de la situació actual i les perspectives de futur, una presentació de recursos actuals de realitat virtual dins el campus i un debat sobre la governança de la comunitat de realitat virtual.
The day will include a showcase of virtual reality experiences at the UAB, a presentation of the attendees, a brief analysis of the current situation and future prospects, a presentation of current virtual reality resources on campus, and a discussion on the governance of the virtual reality community.

The UAB Orchestra presents the traditional spring concert in Barcelona
Description:
The programme of the spring concert presented by the UAB Orchestra, revolves around the last symphony of the Austrian composer Joseph Haydn, followed by the intoxicating and fascinating Minuetto Serio, by Zolt'n Kod'ly, and ending with two evocative and charming songs by the English composer E. Elgar.

Concert by Anna Ferrer at the UAB as part of the BoFestival open-air festival
Description:
Menorca singer Anna Ferrer will begin a concert series entitled "Concerts a La Figuera" on 16 June under a fig tree located on the UAB campus, right under the Turó de Sant Pau.This an initiative is organised by BoFestival, a festival of close, artistic experiences which, in this edition, will include outdoor music concerts.
The concert is free and a meeting point has been set up at the train station of the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGC) in Bellaterra, at 6:30 p.m., to walk together towards the concert with the festival's team. Those preferring to travel by car can turn on Carrer 1 of the Turó de Sant Pau (G35V+99 Bellaterra). The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Screenings of short films by students of 3rd year of Audiovisual Communication
Description:
The students of the third year of Audiovisual Communication present the short films that have been recorded and edited by one of the subjects of the degree.

The box office opens half an hour before each screening begins.
Projections in VOSE (original version subtitled in Spanish).
No seats are reserved and only one ticket per person is delivered.

Conference: "Ciencia (no)-ficción. Periodistas narrando la ciencia en vivo"
Description:
The PerCientEx Observatory, in collaboration with the Gabinet de Comunicació i Educació research group at the UAB, dedicates its fifth edition of scientific journalism on the reflection of new and different manners to narrate science, such as narrative podcasts, non-fictional theatre and video podcasts. These formats distance themselves from traditional journalism in order to come closer to literature and other artistic activities.
Participants will include Maricarmen Climént, Federico Bianchini and Irene Baños, authors of innovative productions in the areas to be debated. All three will conduct actions related to their professional activities on science, health and the environment, which they created especially for the conference.
The moderator will be Michele Catanzaro, lecturer in the Department of Journalism and Communication Studies at the UAB and director of PerCientEx Observatory, and Verónica Couto Antelo, biologist and scientific communicator, and deputy director of PerCientEx Observatory.
Attendance is free, but prior registration is required.
