Based on research conducted throughout a doctoral project, the documentary narrates the experiences of Alterbanc and RAMUCA, two initiatives that emerged in Barcelona and Seville, respectively, during the COVID-19 pandemic. These mutual aid networks were established among neighbors, activists, and farmers with the goal of addressing the basic needs of local communities, including food, through fundamental principles of participation, solidarity, and horizontality, with a focus on agroecology. Through a captivating visual narrative, the documentary illustrates how healthy, and occasionally organic, food was distributed to marginalized individuals who typically lack access to such products.

The video highlights how these initiatives sparked crucial debates about the socioeconomic biases inherent in sustainable food, often perceived as an exclusive privilege for middle-class white individuals. At the same time, it underscores the opportunities to advance toward a more equitable agroecology through reflection on intersectionality, as well as fostering empathy and solidarity to forge alliances with other social movements. Immerse yourself in these fascinating narratives of community, resistance, and change amidst adversity. The documentary is entirely self-produced and has no profit motive.
