Itinerary
This study can be done through the following options:
- Enroll the entire program
- Enroll in the postgraduate diploma Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), and once passed, enroll the rest of subjects.
This master has two itineraries and students must choose one, between:
- Itinerary Teacher Development for Foreign Language Education, you must register the subject Special issues in foreign language pedagogy
- Itinerary Teacher Development for Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) Special issues in CLIL pedagogy

Specific skills
Those who complete the FL Education itinerary will be able to:
- Plan FL curricular content through innovative approaches, and develop a full understanding of the pedagogic principles underlying the CLIL approach.
- Devise and adapt materials for the FL classroom that are appropriate to the level of cognitive and linguistic development of their particular group of learners, incorporating the pedagogic principles of content-rich approaches.
- Find, select and if necessary adapt multimodal, multimedia and technological resources either as sources of academic information or as tools for communication.
- Handle in the FL the full range of classroom activities and serve as models for language use and interaction strategies, but also use it to create a climate of close emotional support and rich intellectual endeavour in the classroom.
- Evaluate student progress and the achievement of learning goals in an integrated fashion.
- Work hand in hand with CLIL teachers in the same educational institution in order to facilitate the language training of learners facing the double challenge posed by CLIL subjects.
- Work with teaching staff of a complementary profile such as teachers of the native language(s) or other FLs or non-CLIL non-language subjects to devise activities that will enhance the use and development of FLs.
- Work together with all agents in the educational institution towards a multilingualism that guarantees respect for and learning of all languages present in the academic context.
- Develop skills for life-long professional self-development, and to act as instructors in FL or CLIL teacher-education programmes.
- Use the FL for all purposes in the classroom (management, emotional support, classroom order, teaching, etc.) and generate quality academic conversations leading to the learning of content and language.
Those who complete the CLIL teaching itinerary will be able to:
- Plan their particular subjectcontent through innovative approaches and the pedagogic principles of the CLIL approach.
