This edition of the Postgraduate Degree in Acupuncture and Pain is characterized by having a particular organization in which the teaching material will be taught throughout the academic year from October to June in the online format through the Virtual Campus of the Gimbernat and Tomàs Cerdà University Schools (center attached to the UAB ), and a theoretical-practical classes taught from Monday to Friday, concentrated in 3 weeks during the month of July (exact dates will be updated according to the academic year).
The objective of organizing the postgraduate course in the format described is to encourage students from other countries who speak Spanish to study these studies since the compulsory face-to-face classes are concentrated in 3 consecutive weeks.
This postgraduate course is intended to train medical, physiotherapy and nursing staff in acupuncture techniques and related techniques as a treatment tool for different types of pain.
Acupuncture explains the functioning of the organism from an integrative and global perspective, rather than treating it as analytical or isolated segments.
Pain is one of the most present symptomatologies in our society; increasingly, more and more therapies now use acupuncture and related techniques to treat their patients. Health professionals have found that acupuncture and related techniques provide an ideal working formula for fulfilling their objectives.
