The specialisation course in pelvic urological robotic surgery aims to develop up-to-date, systematic, active and useful training in robotic surgery, promoting urological robotic surgical education, specifically pelvic robotic surgery.
The aim is to promote surgical education, specifically basic and advanced training in pelvic urological robotic surgery.
The course consists of theoretical classes, practice with simulators (dry lab) and live surgery with attendance at the Puigvert Foundation operating theatres.
Knowledge of robotic surgery in urological procedures will be implemented with respect to surgical indication, patient positioning, placement and coupling of trocars and robotic platforms, intraoperative and postoperative management of the patient. A step-by-step description of the most important pelvic urological surgeries performed using robotic platforms will be provided. Surgical skills in different urological procedures using robotic platforms will be improved by attending simulation training courses and live surgeries.
- Robotic radical cystectomy
- Robotic distal ureterectomy
- Robotic ilio-obturator lymphadenectomy
- Robotic inguinal lymphadenectomy
- Robotic Sacrocolpopexy
- Robotic simple prostatectomy
- Simulation - robotic pelvic surgery
- Live surgeries
