Veterinary history books
The objective of this collection has been the digital conversion of the veterinary documentary collections published in Catalonia and Spain, with special interest in the monographs, pamphlets and images edited at the end of the XIX and beginning of the XX, that is when the scientific change takes place in the veterinary profession, catalan authors such as: Francesc Darder Llimona, Francesc Sugrañes Bardají, Joan Romagosa Vila, Josep Vidal i Munné, Pere M. Rossell i Vila, Pedro Farreras, Salvador Castelló Carreras, among others. The spanish authors are also represented with figures such as: Nicolas Casas Mendoza, Carlos Sanz Egaña or Félix Gordón Ordás. The collection is considered one of the most relevant in the Spanish geography in its field.
Documentary type and number of documents:
Collection specializing in veterinary medicine, animal husbandry, medicine, agriculture and other related sciences. It is a documentary collection of 2557 paper documents and 119 electronic documents. For the creation of this collection, funding has been received from the Consell de Col·legis Veterinaris de Catalunya (CCVC), the timely help of calls for the conversion of digital funds through repositories of the Culture Ministry, and the collaboration of the institutions such as Veterinary Faculty. Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Zaragoza, Girona Veterinary College, Arxiu Municipal d'Historia de Barcelona and Escola Oficial d'Avicultura d'Arenys de Mar.
