UAB student wins the "Unirun" university race
UAB Environmental Biology student Clàudia Galcerán is the winner of the 11th edition of the Unirun race, in which 12 Catalan universities participate, in the female runners category. This five-kilometre race was held on Sunday 2 March in Barcelona. The first UAB student classified in the race was Mathematics student Lluc Serrat, who came in 8th among the more than 6,000 runners participating.

UAB student Claudia Galcerán was the first woman to cross the finish line in the Catalan Universities race, Unirun, on Sunday 2 March, with a time of 00:17:23 m. She was the winner in the overall female category, and also won the Adidas trophy.
The student who classified in first position for the UAB was a student of Mathematics, Lluc Serrat, with a time of 00:16:15 m, a time that allowed him to reach the finish line in eighth place. The student of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), Jaume Rius, was the overall winner of the race.
In the general classification of universities, the UAB came in fourth place. The rector of the UAB, Javier Lafuente, attended the sporting event and congratulated the athletes at the end of the race.
This was the 11th edition of this five-kilometre race that runs through the district of Sant Martí and the Parc del Fòrum (Barcelona) and in which runners from the 12 Catalan universities participate.
This year's edition included more than 6,000 runners. The race was open to students, alumni, future students, professors, personnel, suppliers, and friends and families of members linked to any of the Catalan universities.
The race is an initiative by the Esport Català Universitari (ECU), with the support of the General Secretariat of Sport and Physical Activity and the Barcelona City Council. This edition was sponsored by Adidas and organised by Gaudim Sports.
