Two UAB students reach the podium of the Allianz Jean Bouin Race
Students Laia Cuervo and Marc Cazorla respectively won second and third place in the Jean Bouin Race held in Barcelona on 26 November. The race forms part of the Catalonia University Championship, a competition in which a total of 245 UAB students participate.

The latest edition of the Allianz Jean Bouin broke all registration records with approximately 20,000 athletes in its 17 races, including the university race, in which 1,500 runners from all Catalan universities took part. More specifically, 95 female and 152 male students from the UAB participated.
There were two races in the university category: a 5 km race and a 10 km race. In the women's Open 5K, which finished at the Arc de Triomf, UAB student Laia Cuervo was runner-up with a time of 18.21 minutes. In the men's Open 10k, UAB student Marc Cazorla came in third with a time of 33.27 minutes.
Students from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona also obtained great results in the other races in which they could win points for the Catalonia University Championship. In the Firefighters-Barcelona race, student Clàudia Salas took third place, in the Sant Cugat Media race, student Rosini Carrasco also came in third, and in the 5K Espirall race, students Júlia Gallardo and Lluc Casals came in third.
