On 1 October the UAB Student Council held the first plenary session of the 2014-2015 academic year. After having reloaded energies during the summer, the highest body in student representation held a meeting to continue with its main objective of communicating the voice of students to the decision-making bodies of the university.

In this first plenary session of the 2014-2015 academic year, the CEUAB started to establish the bases for its functioning. In the first part of the session, the Standing Committee, which had already gathered up to 4 times during the summer, made a series of proposals for the functioning of the body, most of which were ratified by the plenary.

During the second part of the meeting, the plenary argued about different main points regarding the CEUAB. One of the most outstanding issues was the budget. The plenary strongly discussed about the best way of managing the economic resources that they have and agreed on the creation of a Budgetary Committee that would work completely on it.

Other points discussed during the plenary session were the properly functioning of the body’s social networks, the different activities for the UAB Festa Major and the different issues regarding student representation.
