The UAB offers three Senior Serra Hunter lecturing positions
The UAB opens a call for applications for up to three Senior Serra Hunter positions, a new hiring modality aimed at distinguished lecturers coming from foreign institutions.
Those interested in forming part of the UAB through this new lecturing position must be currently undertaking their academic career outside Spain; demonstrate high level academic leadership skills in their field; and demonstrate that the academic position they currently hold fits one of the three profiles offered by the UAB (must meet criteria of excellence and international recognition in their scientific, technological, humanistic or artistic contribution).
Candidates interested in applying must specify which of the profiles they are applying for and attach a copy of their full CV, a certificate from the university where they currently work, their academic position and a sworn declaration stating that if selected, they are willing to join the UAB. The documents must be submitted to the UAB Electronic Office through its generic application. Deadline for applications is 10 September 2024.
The distinguished lecturer contract will have a duration of 5 years. After these 5 years, once the corresponding accreditation is acquired as Full Professor or contracted Full Professor, the selected candidate will be eligible to apply for a permanent CU/CC position at the UAB.
Senior SHP
Senior SHP is the branch of the Serra Hunter Plan that aims to promote the hiring of distinguished Serra Hunter faculty for public universities in Catalonia. These hires must represent an incorporation of relevant talent and leadership in their field for the Catalan university system. The persons assigned to the Senior SHP must come from foreign institutions and must demonstrate high academic merit, extensive international teaching and research experience, and leadership skills.
