The UAB offers protective material and SARS-CoV-2 detection devices to hospitals
The UAB has loaned two coronavirus detection devices to the Hospital Parc Taulí. In collaboration with other on-campus centres, such as CRAG and IFAE, the UAB has also sent protective material to healthcae personnel at the hospitals Vall d'Hebron, Sant Pau i Santa Creu, Parc Taulí, Germans Trias i Pujol and Hospital del Mar.

In addition, alongside other centres located on the UAB campus, such as the Centre for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) and the Institute of High Energy Physics (IFAE), the university has sent protective material to the hospitals Vall d'Hebron, Sant Pau i Santa Creu, Parc Taulí, Germans Trias i Pujol and Hospital del Mar, to help the healthcare personnel fighting agianst COVID-19.
The packages with the materials have already reached each of the hospital centres. In total, this material included 90,000 gloves, 800 protective goggles, 4,000 face masksc, over 2,000 robes, 200 full-body gowns, 3,000 surgical caps, 5,000 shoe covers and 250 litres of antiseptic and disinfectant agents (ethanol and alcohol).
Another on-campus entity that is collaborating in the fight against the SARS-COV-2 pandemic is the Hospital Clínic Veterinari, which has loaned medical ventilators to the Catalan Health Institute.
