The UAB Barcelona Summer School to be held online
This year, the UAB Barcelona Summer School will be taking place online. From 22 June to 10 July, a total of 17 courses will be offered online, the majority of them in English, and a social programme will help bring together local and international students. Registration is now open.
From 22 June to 10 July, students will be able to participate in the courses offered by the UAB Barcelona Summer School, open to both undergraduate and graduate students from Catalonia and abroad. This year, all classes will be taught at a distance and there will also be an online social programme.
The UAB Barcelona Summer School lasts three weeks and will take place from Mondays to Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., but with two different timetables. Period 1 (from 9 a.m. to 12 noon) will begin with lectures and continue with interactive seminars in the second hour and programmed tutorials in the last hour. Period 2 (from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) will conduct tutorials, lectures and then seminars.
There will be 17 courses offered that focus on different academic fields (art, psychlogy, bioethics, journalism, etc.) and the majority will be offered in English. New courses are being offered this year that focus on modenr challenges such as international relations, gastronomy and enology, Spanish politics and advanced programming. A course in Spanish as a Foreign Language (Level A2) will also be offered.
Buddy Programme
The summers school's "Buddy Programme" will organise online activities to allow international and local students enrolled in the UAB Barcelona Summer School to meet online with UAB students and discover the local culture.
Participating in the summer school courses can be validated with 6 ECTS. The price of each course is 200 euros for UAB students and 840 euros for allother students. Those students belonging to the YERUN Network and ECIU Consortium member universities have a 20% discount on course prices. Registration is now open through the UAB Barcelona Summer School website.
