The Tandem programme starts off

This year, around 1,200 foreign students have come to the UAB on different international mobility programmes. The UAB campus is an ideal environment to meet people from all over the world and share experiences. Practising languages is one of the best ways to meet people, learn about their culture, and help them to learn about yours as well.

The Tandem programme offers the chance to practise languages and make new friends through activities like the Speed Tandem, small conversation groups, games and foreign-language films.

The activities of the Tandem programme will take place every Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Events Room at l’Àgora Building (R Building). Moreover, starting this October, the Tandem will also be taking place in the faculties every Thursday: in the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and in the Faculty of Education from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Depending on attendance numbers, there will be different language groups so that everyone can practise one language or help other students out.
