The deadline for submitting abstracts to the 6th edition of the European Colloquium on Gender and Translation, to be held at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona on 8-10 July 2025, has been extended until 7 JANUARY 2025. Proposals for 20-minute-long presentations can be submitted as individual papers or as part of a panel on a specific topic.

Dr. Ruth Abou Rached, from the University of Manchester, has also been confirmed as the first keynote speaker. Dr. Abou Rached is a member of the research unit Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies of the University of Manchester and specialises in feminist translation studies, applying an intersectional perspective to the creative production in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The organising committee is planning to publish an edited volume with a selection of conference papers from this edition of the Colloquium. Instructions on the submission of extended abstracts to be considered for this publication will be provided in the next months.
