Second semester auditions for the UAB Choir and Orchestra now open
The registration for auditions to become a member of the UAB Choir and Orchestra are already open. If you want to be part of these groups in the second semester of the 2024/25 academic year, you must complete the corresponding form to request an appointment for the audition.
The UAB Choir and UAB Orchestra are the two artistic groups dedicated exclusively to music. During this second semester, the choir and orchestra will perform concerts inside and outside the UAB, as well as work with professionals from the sector.
If you want to be part of one of these two stable groups, you must pass an entrance exam. These will take place according to the established schedule. For the orchestra, the auditions will be held on Monday 20 and on Monday 27 January, and on Thursday 30 January from 12 noon to 1 p.m. As for the choir auditions, they will take place on 16, 23, and 30 January, and on 6 February, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. To request an appointment for the auditions, you must fill out the forms that you will find below. A minimum prior training in the corresponding discipline is required to become a member of one of these groups. Once the audition is passed and if selected, the registration is free.
The UAB Choir, conducted by Maestro Poire Vallvé, works throughout the year on a very diverse repertoire and participates in various concerts inside and outside the UAB. To join the choir, knowledge of musical language, a good ear, and tuning ability are required. You can find all the information and access the form for the audition here.
The Orchestra is conducted by Maestro Jesús Badia, and its repertoire is very diverse. Most of its members are students, who greatly value this opportunity to keep their instrument alive while pursuing their university studies. You can access the form for the audition here.
