The ACUP gives its support to the "Català per a tothom" movement
The Catalan Association of Public Universities (ACUP) gives its support to the "Català per a tothom" movement, which demands universalising access to the language and multiplying its use in the public sphere, from neighbourhoods to schools and workplaces.

The Catalan Association of Public Universities (ACUP) has signed the petition in sign of support to the "Català per a tothom" [Catalan for Everyone] movement, launched by civil society, social and educational entities, neighbourhood associations, trade unions and business organisations. The petitions demands more access to learning the language and more emphasis in using Catalan in all areas of public life, such as in neighbourhoods, at school and at work.
The petition specifically requests that there be 200,000 additional places for those interested in learning Catalan and stresses the important role newcomers play in maintaining and broadening the use of the language.
