On 15 December more than 150 people participated in the first “Tell stories” workshop, which took place at the UAB Faculty of Education. During the session, the professor Carme Serret explained in a very practical way the appropriate techniques and resources to tell stories correctly.

Among the main issues addressed, the following should be outlined: the affective way of keeping the attention of children, as well as the importance of taking care of the voice and way of looking and the bond that these produce. Additionally, the professor Serret gave examples of her arguments by telling the story Joshua and the Magic Fiddle, by Janosch.

The activity could be carried out thanks to the initiative and work by the trainees of the Faculty of Education and the supervision of the Community Involvement Programme. The activity was very well received and in consequence the organisers are considering making a second session.
