The Fundació Autònoma Solidària (FAS) each year announces the Final Degree Project Award for the best final degree projects in the field of transformation for global justice carried out by students of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).

The Arcadi Oliveres Awards ceremony, which took place on 28 March at 12 noon at the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies, recognised the efforts made by the authors of TFGs on sustainable development and global justice carried out in the 2021/22 academic year.

The event began with a welcome speech by Esther Zapater, General Secretary of the UAB, followed by the presentation of FAS Director Jordi Prat, who thanked the collaboration of the Barcelona City Council in the project, as well as the work carried out by the evaluation committees that assessed the works presented. Prat highlighted the consonance of these awards "with the work conducted by the FAS and its commitment to planetary justice". He was also pleased that the awards bear the name of Professor Oliveres as a tribute "to his commitment to peace" and his "connection with youth". Next, the director of Global Justice and International Cooperation of the Barcelona City Council, David Llistar, affirmed that the concept of global justice is related to "a new paradigm" that must transform our "vision of development". Llistar denounced the intergenerational effect of globalisation and said that "we must redefine the planetary community beyond nation states".
