On 30 and 31 March, the UAB Solidarity Foundation (Fundació Autònoma Solidària, FAS), alongside NOVACT, the International Institute for Non-Violent Actions, and the Associació Kudwa, organised the Multakana – مُلْتَقانا: Youth Voices For Peace 2023 forum. The meeting formed part of a project funded by the Catalan Cooperation Agency which aims to reinforce the role of young activists involved in peacebuilding and favour the consolidation of democracy and Human Rights in the Middle East and in Catalonia.

In the forum, Sana (Iran), Mahdi (Afghanistan), and Ali (Iraq) shared their views on what is activism and what they are fighting for, and these opionions now form part of a series of videos published on the FAS' Instagram account.

In her video, Sana explains that for her, Activism is to help everyone living on the planet to have equal rights and access to their basic needs”. Ali talked about the situation he is fighting for: “Specifically we are working on environmental issues, that is the general frame, and I'm focused on sustainable development, the features of national resources and water resources specifically”. Mahdi spoke on how peacebuilding must be achieved: “an inclusive agreement within all parties and all shareholders of the society”.
