New board for the Student Council of the School of Engineering

On 30 September the Student Council of the School of Engineering held the first meeting of this academic year. In the meeting the members of the Council elected the new board and this year’s representatives of the School of Engineering on the UAB Student Council. The new members of the board are: chair: Albert Gil, secretary: Oriol Parareda, treasurer: Ramón Guimerà, Telecommunications vice-chair: María Tomàs, Aeronautical Management vice-chair: Ariadna Mejías, Computer Engineering vice-chair: Jordi Farré, Chemical Engineering vice-chair: Vicenç Anaya, Pol Àlvarez in the Consulting Committee, Denis Llussà in the Activities Committee and Marc Caravaca in the MEMEnginy Committee.
 
The most important outcome of the meeting was the creation of new committees, such as the Consulting Committee, the #MEMEnginy Committee, the Activities Committee, the Communication and Infrastructures Committee, the committee for the Game of Degrees project and a Regulation Committee. Also a new working group will prepare a report on the plan to reorganise the car parks around the School of Engineering. The project is coordinated by Manu Lobato, delegate for the second year of Computer Engineering.
 
One of the new board’s first actions is a welcome day for the students, the ENGINEERING WELCOME DAY. The event will take place onThursday 6 October in the School of Engineering.
