Learn about the Artistic Training offered by the UAB Culture for the next academic year 2024-25
From September, registrations will be open for workshops and artistic training courses and Establishable Groups with academic recognition that will be carried out during the academic year 2024-2025.
The UAB Culture Unit offers the opportunity to start or continue learning an artistic discipline with professionals from the sector with a variety of biannual and annual artistic training activities, which you can see in the catalogue. All the proposals have academic recognition of ECTS credits and have a reduced price for members of the university community.
The different workshops and courses are part of four training and creation classrooms: Music, Dance, Theatre and Writing. With the aim of promoting the talent and creativity of the university community, each classroom offers different courses and workshops to explore and develop different skills, whether musical, vocal, scenic or poetic.
The Music Club, with the aim of creating a common space for different musical groups, proposes the following courses and workshops: Chamber Choir, Choir, Orchestra and Voice Technique.
From the Dance Club, with the aim of experimenting with the different dance styles of hip-hop culture and deepening in the techniques of contemporary dance, the following courses and workshops are proposed: Contemporary Dance (level 2), Contemporary Dance (level 1) and Introduction to Urban Dance.
From the Theatre Classroom, where performing arts are worked with training, dissemination and scenic creation activities by leading professionals, the following workshops and courses are proposed: Stable Theatre Group, Theatre Interpreting (level 2), Theatre Interpreting (level 1) and Introduction to Theatre Interpreting in English.
And from the Writing Classroom, with the aim of introducing and deepening in literary and poetic techniques, the following workshops and courses are proposed: Creative writing (level 1) and Creative writing (level 2).
In addition, you can apply for the Viu La Cultura cultural card and enjoy the programming of dance, music and theatre, of a professional and amateur nature of the Sala Teatre, and the projections and film cycles in the Sala Cinema with the possibility of validating two ECTS credits if you attend a certain number of activities and present a final review of some of them.
To be part of the stable groups: Choir, Chamber Choir, Orchestra and Group Establishable Theatre, you must take a previous entrance test, fill in the form (Choir, Orchestra and Stable Theatre Group) and reserve one of the hours available to take the level exam.
