Journalism Student Andrea Povea Spearheads the #FemJustíciaGlobal Campaign
Andrea Povea Suasnabar, a journalism student at UAB, is the spokesperson for the #FemJustíciaGlobal campaign, producing content on global justice for various platforms belonging to the university and the Fundació Autònoma Solidària (FAS).
The Global Justice Education (EpJG) project, led by the Fundació Autònoma Solidària (FAS), will feature the work of UAB journalism student Andrea Povea Suasnabar. Andrea will participate in an extra-curricular internship at FAS to bring global justice to the community by creating a variety of communication content.
Andrea will be the spokesperson for the campaign on various platforms, including UAB's own communication channel, UAB Mèdia. In particular, she will contribute to the news programme with reports and interviews related to the campaign. The first programme, broadcast on 25th October, highlighted the Final Degree Projects (TFGs) which focus on transformation for global justice. It also featured the Arcadi Oliveres Awards, which recognise youth talent and commitment to global justice. One feature included an interview with last year's winner, Joana Romeu, a graduate in Audiovisual Communication. Joana is currently working on her short film "Feliz Cumpleaños!", which is funded by the prize money. The docufiction project explores the life of an elderly woman facing the digital divide.
In parallel, social media content will be published on the FAS platforms (@fas.uab), using visually appealing productions tailored to a younger audience. This content will be released in the coming weeks.
This awareness-raising campaign is part of the Pluriversitat project carried out by FAS with the support of the Directorate of Global Justice of the City of Barcelona. The initiative aims to strengthen the global justice discourse by highlighting activities that promote global justice education at the university, especially those led by young people.
