Ferran Martín named Fellow of the prestigious association IEEE
Professor of the Department of Electronic Engineering at UAB, Ferran Martín, was named Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), for his achievements in the development of metamaterial-based artificial transmission lines and their applications to microwave engineering.

Ferran Martín is an ICREA Academia researcher. He directs the Centre for Research into Metamaterials for Innovation in Electronic and Communication Technologies (CIMITEC) and holds one of the UAB Research Park-Santander Chairs of Transfer.
With close to 400,000 members, IEEE is the most important international association in the field of new technologies. Founded in 1884 by prominent researchers such as T. A. Edison and Graham Bell, the association produces over 30% of all literature on electronic engineering, computing and telecommunications worldwide.
