The European Student Assembly (ESA) organises a global event in which it will bring together over 200 students from different European Universities alliances with the aim of connecting students from across Europe in a joint effort to promote change, work for a better tomorrow and make their voices heard.

From January to April 2024, over 200 European students will work together in groups which, through online sessions, will focus on current events and debate on the political recommendations for the future of Europe, and later defend their stance in front of stakeholders and decision-makers.

These work sessions will end in a three-day event to be held at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, where students will be able to debate and put the finishing touches on their political recommendations with other members of their group.

Open registration from students of the ECIU University

The event is open to students of all nationalities, areas of knowledge and education levels, as long as they are enrolled in one of the institutions belonging to the ECIU University.

To sign up to participate, students must first respond this questionnaire about ESA:

  • What does it mean for you to participate in a deliberative assembly with other European students?
  • To what point can ESA help change Europe?
  • Explain your choice of groups. How will you contribute with your knowledge or experience in this field?
  • Have you ever participated in an action or project that has had a positive effect on your community? Describe the context, your exact role, the project's impact and why it was important for you.

In addition, those interested in working as coordinators must record a 30-second video presentation explaining why they are interested in becoming coordinators.

The selection of students will be done by the ESA and by the European Universities alliances, according to criteria such as student interest in European politics, culture and society, their reasons for participating in this intercultural event, wanting to defend their opinion and the impact on their community, and their level of excellence.

The registration period willl be open until 5 November and the selection results will be announced on 15 December 2023 for coordinators and on 15 January 2024 for participants.

The ESA will also organise an informative session to clear up any doubts or questions candidates may have on 20 October at 6:30 p.m.

All travel and accomodation expenses will be paid for participants.
