Condolence for the deaths of Clara Zapater and Marta Acosta

Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona expresses its shock and sorrow over the deaths of Clara Zapater Caminal and Marta Acosta Mendoza, respective students of UAB and Universitat Rovira i Virgili, and wishes to extend its condolences to the families of the victims, who died tragically at the musical festival held this weekend in Germany.

The two students were from the towns of Cambrils and Tarragona. Clara Zapater Caminal, age 22, was a student of Psychology at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She was reaching the end of her stay under an Erasmus grant at the University of Münster, some 100 kilometres to the north of Duisburg. Marta Acosta Mendoza studied English Language Studies at Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona.

UAB's rector and the dean of the Faculty of Psychology as well as the rest of the university community wishes to express its sorrow for the tragic event and extend their condolences to the families of the two victims and to all those affected by the events of this past weekend.
