Catch the Volunteer Bug at the UAB
556 volunteers from the UAB community have helped over 4,000 people on the FAS social and volunteering programmes, aimed at combatting social exclusion and giving support to the vulnerable.

On the following video you can hear the stories of these three FAS volunteers and many others.
Learning and personal growth are the benefits that all UAB-community volunteers highlight when recounting what they have obtained from the experience.
The FAS is entering the new academic year determined to continue growing and adding to the power of volunteering. Anyone in the UAB community – students, administration or teaching staff – can come to the FAS offices in the Plaça Cívica for information on the different programmes available, or check out the Volunteering section on the website.
Which volunteer programme do you want to take part in?
The FAS sees volunteering as a tool for transforming society in a world of inequalities. By taking part in a volunteer programme you can learn about the lives of persons who are in a situation of vulnerability and help to improve them.
This year, the FAS is offering volunteer positions in prisons, social education, social and health care, and the environment. To join up, come along to the offices on the Plaça Cívica, send an email to fas.voluntariat@uab.cat, or fill in this form. You will then be invited to a session on the programmes you are interested in. Catch the bug and feel the power of university volunteering! Use some of your free time to learn and make small changes that can gradually turn into great ones.
