Airports of Catalonia and the UAB agree to collaborate in research, teaching and aeronautical technology
The UAB and Airports of Catalonia have signed a collaboration agreement to carry out teaching, research and technology transfer activities jointly in the field of aeronautical management and airport infrastructures.
In terms of teaching, the agreement will promote the proposal of final degree projects on subjects related to aeronautical management and will allow the promotion of the external academic work placement programme for UAB students in companies of the aeronautical sector through paid work placement agreements.
With regard to research, the agreement provides for collaboration in the definition and proposal of PhD theses in the industrial PhD programme and joint participation in funding calls for research, innovation and transfer projects, as well as the general conduct of research and transfer activities in the fields of airport management, services and infrastructures.
In this way, Airports of Catalonia expands its ties with the universities of Catalonia that offer, within their curricula, training in aeronautical management in different fields. Last November, the company signed an agreement with the UPC to carry out joint actions in teaching, research and technology transfer in the fields of aeronautics and space, through the School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering of Castelldefels.
