The exhibition will beopen to visitors from Wednesday 26 March to Friday 16 May at the UAB Exhibition Hall (Communications Library and General Newspaper Archives). “Dreams that don’t scare you aren’t big enough” is the title of the exhibition of the first university casteller group. This will allow, through various elements, a nostalgic and emotional journey through the history of the Ganàpies, a group known for their innovation. Born in 1994 after a casteller workshop, they have represented the beginning of a new world within this field, setting an example for other universities.
The exhibition gathers the most essential information about this group, such as the origin of their name, the characteristic blue color of their shirts, and the creation of their emblem. Additionally, visitors will also be able to see the challenges the Ganàpies have faced and the achievements they have accomplished.
“Dreams that don’t scare you aren’t big enough” is a journey through the history of the Ganàpies. Through images and memories, the aim is to recap these thirty years that have brought so much joy to the UAB and to fans of castellers. The Ganàpies have created a new idea of castellers, a new family within the UAB, known for their strength and desire to fight for every casteller formation.
Through this exhibition, all those who are, have been, or want to be part of this family will be able to immerse themselves in the world of university casteller groups and discover this part of the UAB. The exhibition is a clear representation of what the Ganàpies have achieved over the past thirty years and all that they still have to achieve.
