Ten lecturer positions at the UAB announced through the Serra Húnter Plan
The Ministry for Research and Universities of the Catalan Government has opened a new call for the recruitment of teaching and research staff with international excellence criteria for Catalan universities. This is the first of two annual calls of the general Serra Húnter Plan, and ten lecturer contracts are offered at the UAB. The call will be open until 28 April through the programme's website.

On this occasion, the places being announced are in the fields of biology, law, economics, engineering, geography, geology, physics and mathematics. Those hired will join the UAB and will have to carry out teaching and research tasks.
The selection process consists of two parts. The first part is the international call, which allows the recruitment offer to be made public and the requirements of the candidates to be verified. The second part is the public competition, which takes place at the university that offers the contracts. All information on the selection process and the submission of applications can be found on the program's website.
The objective of the Serra Húnter Plan is to promote the recruitment of highly qualified teaching and research faculty with international experience. The selection process is based on merits that meet international standards in order to encourage the best applicants from institutions around the world, including those in Catalonia, with the aim of attracting, retaining and recovering talent. The Serra Húnter Plan was created in 2003 and is part of the National Pact for the Society of Knowledge. Currently, there are more than 1,100 Serra Húnter lecturers active in the Catalan university system.
