New virtual spaces for teaching and student support
The UAB is launching two new virtual spaces designed to offer tools, materials and resources, one aimed at teaching staff and the other at students. These spaces will be accessible through the virtual campus and were launched initially as a pilot test in the Faculty of Science with the plan to extend them to all faculty members and students of the University.
The teaching support tools area, aimed at lecturers, incorporates a wide variety of resources designed to improve the quality of teaching and learning processes. The materials available include resources on inclusion and attention to diversity, teaching methodologies, learning assessment, gender perspective in teaching, and the use of artificial intelligence in teaching. The purpose of this space is to provide lecturers with tools for a more meaningful and inclusive teaching.
In contrast, the student support tools area is designed to offer different resources and materials that include specific services and programmes, activities and aids, among others. This space aims to facilitate access to information and tools that can help students make the most of their university experience.
The pilot test of these spaces will serve to gather suggestions and make the necessary improvements before their implementation throughout the university. This initiative represents a step forward in promoting access to resources for teaching. Likewise, the resources aimed at students are designed to help them better adapt to university life.
