Maria Mont and Ese Emmanuel Uwosomah, PhD students and members of the Research Group in Plurilingual Interaction and Teaching (GREIP) at the UAB, presented an awareness-raising project on the use of water resources that included the involvement of the primary school Escola Sant Jordi in Mollet del Vallès and the Oakbridge Foundation School in Nigeria. The presentation was conducted online and included students, family members and members of the project from both countries.

The aim of the project, which took place over three months, was to create shared values about water use and management, as well as to help students improve their digital and English language skills. The students, in the fourth grade, used a special artificial intelligence platform for children created as a sub-platform of ChatGPT by Uwosomah. They analysed the drought situation and came up with water saving measures by creating a game and performing a play.

The project also involved Melinda Dooly, professor of the Department of Language and Literature Didactics and Social Sciences at the UAB, and Angela Onyemowo, founder of the Oakbridge Foundation School.
