The UAB hosts the final session of the ECIU University Leadership Development Program

The project presented by the UAB is focused on how to align the institutional strategies of each one of the member universities with the strategy of the ECIU University.

On February 14th, the UAB challenges office hosted the last seminar of the Leadership Development Program of the ECIU University where, after 4 days of work, 3 projects have been presented. These projects have been worked on through the previous sessions which have been held in the UAB campus, in Toulouse (September 6-9, 2022) and in Enschede (December 13-16, 2022).

During the final presentation, on February 17th, the results of the 3 projects have been presented:

On the one hand, the Toulouse project focused on a challenge-based approach to promote and donate support to innovation and entrepreneurship among the students of INSA Toulouse and of the entire INSA group.

On the other hand, the Twente project worked on increasing the participation of the actors of the ECIU ecosystem (students, professors and external stakeholders) to the ECIU University

The UAB project, which run from 14th to 17th February 2023, has focused on how to align the institutional strategies of each member university with the strategy of the ECIU University.

The vice-rector for International Relations of the UAB and current president of the ECIU, Màrius Martínez, and the general secretary of the ECIU, Katrin Dircksen, participated in the final session, who highlighted "the excellent quality" of the results presented and delivered the final certificate of the Program to all participants.

The ECIU University Leadership Development Program aims to contribute to the innovation and change in leadership of the member universities, by offering a unique learning experience for a group of selected leaders and potential leaders. The programme is aimed at young and future leaders, as well as university staff members with leadership experience (both academic and service staff), who want to grow, reflect on the characteristics and particular challenges of leadership and strategic management and deepen their understanding of important political developments and trends in the European and global higher education.
