The course is organised jointly by seven ECIU-member universities and also includes the participation of three UAB lecturers.

On Monday 7 February, the opening session of the “Intercultural Competences: Guiding practical insights through Citizen Science (ICCS)” micro-module took place online. The course is organised by seven ECIU-member universities: the UAB, the INSA Groupe (France), the Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania), the University of Trento (Italy), the University of Stavanger (Norway), the University of Twente (the Netherlands) and Aalborg University (Denmark).
A total of 136 people, of whom eight are students of the UAB, have signed up for this 9-week micro-module worth 2 ECTS credits.
Moreover, “Intercultural Competences” also includes the participation of three experts and coaches from the UAB: Laura Santamaria, from the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting; Miquel Àngel Essomba, from the Faculty of Education, and Fernando Vilariño, from the Computer Vision Center.
The objective of this micro-module is to help students determine and improve their level of intercultural skills through conferences and teambuilding with the best experts in Europe, and which will then be applied to an international citizen science project.
