UAB to receive over 20,000 pre-university students

Once again, the UAB will be presenting its academic programmes and services to future university students and help with any doubts they may have on their future. More than 20,000 students from over 400 centres will visit the UAB on 3, 4 and 5 February.

On 3, 4 and 5 February, the UAB will be holding this year's open days. Over 20,000 secondary school and vocational training students are expected to visit the campus and receive information on the university's academic programmes and services.

More than 200 conferences will be offered, mornings and afternoons, at the different UAB faculties with the objective of helping future students decide on their studies and solve any doubts they may have. Approximately 500 secondary school teachers will also be able to discover the campus and its facilities. The UAB invites all teachers to an informative session at the conference hall of the Rectorate Building. The sessions will be held all three days at 10:30 am.

Visitors come from some 400 centres from all over Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, Valencia and Andorra. Those who wish can also sign up for a tour around the Vila Universitària: guided tours will be offered at 12 noon and at 2 pm (on 5 February there will also be a visit at 5:30 pm) starting at the Vila Universitària offices (Edifici Blanc).

It is important to make sure which faculty will be visited, as well as the hour and hall in which the conference is held. An information stand will be located at the Plaça Cívica for anybody needing assistance or directions. Those travelling by train (RENFE) will find a UAB bus waiting for them at the train station that will take them to the campus. From there, they will need to take an internal UAB bus to get to the faculty they are interested in.
