Guides to writing in the disciplines

In order to help students and lecturers communicate effectively within their own academic fields we have produced the Guides for Writing in Specific Disciplines.

Each guide is published in Catalan and in English, with the necessary modifications. So far, the following titles have appeared: Escriure Economia a la Universitat, Writing Economics at University, Escriure Medicina a la Universitat, and Writing Medicine at University. And we have already published Escriure Educació a la Universitat, Writing Education at University, Escriure Química a la Universitat, Writing Chemistry at University.

The guides are easy to use and each one includes a reflection on the communicative peculiarities of the discipline, a brief description of the text types within it, writing conventions, and links to other resources.

A new title (about Biology) will be added to the collection shortly.
