Sound effects
On this page we explain how to find sound effects in the UAB Library Search tool, the Communication Library and the Internet
1. In the Search Engine from the advanced search screen in the first drop-down select "Subject" and write "sons". In the second drop-down write the specific sound you are looking for, preferably in Catalan. As a Material type, choose Sound Recordings. In the image you can see how to look, for example, sounds of horses.
If the search does not give results try to put the sound searched (cavalls) in Spanish and English (caballos, horses) or with a more general keyword, such as animals. The results of the search will be documents located on the 2nd floor of the library that begin with the topographic CDM 590.
2. At the Communication Library. On the 2nd (Media library) and 4th floor (caretaker's office) you can find sound effects on:
CD. To locate the CDs in the Media Library, consult the 2nd floor plan (zone F); the sound effects are sorted with the call number CDM 590 and many of them can be borrowed. You can find a specific sound by searching the Search Engine (see point 1) or by using the effects search engine of Sound Ideas; in this last case it is only necessary that in the CD field of the search form you write some of the codes in this table:
