Ideal student profile
The master’s degree is aimed at graduates and holders of a diploma in Physiotherapy who are interested in developing their career in the field of Trauma Physiotherapy. This is a programme designed for the profession and for research with the aim that participants acquire and develop competences which allow them to specialize in the treatment of the various mechanical conditions of the locomotor apparatus.
Specific skills

Recognize and differentiate the anatomical, biomechanical, physiological and pathological changes that arise in conditions of the musculoskeletal system.

Assess the patient from the point of view of physiotherapy, with the aim of determining the severity of the condition of the musculoskeletal system and its functional repercussions.

Determine a functional physiotherapeutic diagnosis after an examination and assessment of the patient to determine the best plan of treatment.

Design a Physiotherapy Intervention plan for the treatment of conditions that affect the musculoskeletal system.

Apply, revise and adapt the physiotherapy treatment and assess the results in conditions of the musculoskeletal system by means of ongoing assessment.

Design and carry out research with scientific methodology in the area of Trauma Physiotherapy.

Participate in the preparation of care protocols in Physiotherapy based on scientific evidence and promote professional activities which drive research in Physiotherapy.
