"Off-campus Traineeship" is an elective subject offered to students in their fourth year. Students have the opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge acquired during their studies, in a professional work context that implies the use of advanced level English.
Coordinator: Mercè Coll
Off-campus Traineeship is offered in two different ways:
As a work experience with a collaborating institution off campus. The internship is formalized through a specific agreement signed by the student, the collaborating institution and the UAB, which defines the conditions and gives details of the student's work plan.
As a work / academic experience offered within the Department of English and German Studies (for example, helping in a recognised research project of the UAB, etc.). Internships are formalized through a specific agreement between the student, the department, and the UAB, which defines the conditions and gives details of the student's work plan.
In both cases, the subject carries 6 ECTS credits, which the student can obtain by completing:
· Practical work with a collaborating institution: 125h
· Final written report: 7.5h
· Regular tutorials with the coordinator: 10h.
· Training for workplace insertion: 7.5h
