New online self-training courses
The UAB Libraries increase their choose of self-training courses adding new online courses about 'PubMed' and 'Web of Science and Scopus'.

This second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, the UAB Libraries offer you the following self-training courses through the Virtual Campus:
- Get to know your Library: Are you curious about what the libraries have to offer? Join the 'Escape Room: Save the Library' course, featuring 9 missions, tests, and riddles that will help you discover all the services and resources available in an engaging way.
- Estimated dedication: 1 hour.
- Language: catalan.
- Register form: Get to know your Library
- Tools and resources to carry out your academic work: The objective is that you have sufficient knowledge and tools to allow you to select, evaluate and use information for your academic work. You will find recommendations for searching for information, the main sources of information, tools for organizing and citing bibliographic references, tips for evaluating the quality of the information, as well as other useful resources.

- PubMed: this platform is the most important bibliographic information resource for the area of biomedicine and allied sciences: all health sciences, including psychiatry and psychology, as well as related life sciences. This course shows how to use the database and get the most out of it for research and study.
- Estimated dedication: 1:30 hours.
- Language: Catalan.

- Web of Science and Scopus: this course shows how to use Web of Science and Scopus and get the most out of it for research and study. Both resources are multidisciplinary databases that allow thematic searches and bibliometric indicators to be consulted. Currently they are two of the most important bibliographic and bibliometric information resources.

- Zotero: the objective of this course is for you to learn the operation and basic features of the Zotero bibliographic manager so that you can create your personal library and prepare citations and bibliography for your work automatically.
