Exhibition: Medicine with a gender perspective
The Library of Medicine has organized the exhibition “Medicine with a gender perspective” to commemorate International Women's Day.

On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Medicine Library has organized a physical and virtual exhibition of books, magazine articles and advertising in medical journals with the theme "Medicine with a gender perspective". The exhibition aims to highlight inequalities and gender biases, which over time and yet still persist today.
This exhibition will be accompanied by the artistic exhibition "Women who inspire in Medicine" by the artist and cartoonist Agustí Bartolomé González. An opportunity to learn about and celebrate the inspiring contributions of women in Medicine. The portraits of the former students of the Faculty stand out, Andrea Jesús, extraordinary prize of the Degree in Medicine 2023, Natàlia Espasandin, number 4 at the state level of the MIR 2024 and Dr. Assumpta Caixàs, the first woman professor of Endocrinology and Nutrition and professor from the UD Parc Taulí. The exhibitions, located in the library lobby, can be visited until March 22.
The two samples are part of the Conference "Let's give visibility to women in the field of health" organized by the Basic Medical Sciences Unit, in collaboration with the Institute of Neurosciences and the Commission of the Observatory for Equality of the Faculty of Medicine , in commemoration of International Women's Day - March 8 and which will take place on March 7.
