The forecast of very high temperatures for the following days has led the UAB Area of Prevention and Support to offer heat safety tips to the university community (workers and students).
The UAB recommends adopting the heat safety tips outlined by the Catalan Ministry for Business and Work, such as staying in the shade, drinking lots of liquids, using sunscreen, sunglasses and hats and caps to protect oneself from the sun.
In case of medical emergencies, all members of the university community can visit the UAB Healthcare Service (SAS), which is open from 8 a.m. to 7:45 p.m., Mondays to Fridays. A 24-hour telephone number is also available for cases when the SAS is closed: 93 581 25 25.
