The Manuel Ballbé Chair Organises a Roundtable on Human Security and Emergencies in Unstable Climatic Environments

The Manuel Ballbé Chair, in collaboration with the Human Security and Global Law Doctoral Programme, is delighted to invite you to the roundtable titled Human Security and Emergencies in Unstable Climatic Environments, which will take place on 18 December in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Law at UAB.

This event, chaired by Dr Carlos Padrós, will bring together prominent legal experts in emergency management to examine and analyse the legal and operational implications of the isolated high-altitude depression (DANA) that affected the Valencian Community.

Several important subjects will be covered at this roundtable, including emergency management, civil and administrative liability and current regulations, and proposed improvements for handling future incidents.

The invited speakers will share their insights and experiences, facilitating a rich exchange of ideas and perspectives. We are convinced that this forum will be a valuable opportunity for collective reflection and to develop practical and effective solutions to the challenges of this type of extreme meteorological phenomena.
