Some 8,000 people travel to the UAB campus to take their university entrance exams

The UAB will welcome some 8,000 students who will be taking their university entrance exams (PAU) on 7, 8 and 9 June. The university will include 51 tribunes: 46 at the Bellaterra campus, three in Sabadell, one in Sant Cugat and another one in Terrassa.

On 7, 8 and 9 June some 8,000 students will come to the UAB to take the university entrance exams, a figure that represents an increase of approximately 10% compared to last year. Of these almost 8,000 students, around 7,200 come from upper secondary school, around 600 from vocational training courses and around 200 are taking the exams with free enrolment.

Throughout Catalonia, a total of 41,671 (compared to 40,563 in 2022) signed up this year for the university entrance exams (PAU 2023). This figure represents a second consecutive record in enrolments. With regards to provinces, a total of 31,769 students enrolled in Barcelona, 3,606 in Girona, 2,407 in Lleida, and 3,889 in Tarragona. 

The results of the exams will be known on Thursday 22 June. The exam revision period will go from 22 to 26 June.

All students must take five exams in the compulsory phase (Catalan, Spanish, foreign language, history and the core subject of modality) and up to three optional subjects for the voluntary phase. Each exam lasts one and a half hours. The maximum mark that can be obtained is fourteen points.
