Four UAB students participate in the EUfactcheck project 'EU 2024 elections'

From May 13 to 17, 2024, four students from the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the UAB participated in the EUfactcheck project 'Elections UE 2024', an initiative of the European Association of Training in Journalism (EJTA) to combat disinformation about European policies and issues.

During the week of May 13 to 17, 2024, four students from the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the UAB and Núria Simelio Solà were part of the EUfactcheck project 'Eleccions UE 2024'. This initiative, promoted by the European Journalism Training Association (EJTA), aims to combat misinformation about European policies and issues, by verifying facts and statements made by politicians and other public figures.

The UAB participants, together with students from several European universities, worked in multicultural teams to produce verifications of facts, analyses and blogs related to EU elections. The meeting took place at Utrecht Science Park in the Netherlands, where students enjoyed a week full of academic and recreational activities in the historic city of Utrecht.

The universities participating in this project include, in addition to the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Pompeu Fabra University, Thomas Moore of Belgium, BBU of Romania, Jade of Germany, Zagreb of Croatia, Mariupol of Ukraine, GIPA of Georgia, HU Utrecht of the Netherlands and Stuttgart of Germany.
