Annual flu shot campaign underway

From 11 November to 20 December members of the university community (staff and students) can receive a flu shot at the UAB Healthcare Service. The vaccine campaign is available to all members of the university community, especially those at risk of developing flu-related complications.
The Department of Health of the Government of Catalonia, women diseases recommends influenza vaccines to anyone over 60 years old, pregnant women, people with chronic diseases, morbid obesity, carers of any of the aforementioned groups and people from the essential services sector.
The UAB Healthcare Service also administers the antitetanus/antidiphtheria vaccine, and the Hepatitis A and B vaccines. The Healthcare Service is open from Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 to 7:30 p.m. There is no need to make an appointment.
