15th edition of the Sustainable and Safe Mobility Week
The main activities held for the Sustainable and Safe Mobility Week will take place on Thursday 10 November, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Several entities from the SiS Space on campus will hold activities to inform and raise awareness on sustainable and safe mobility among members of the university community, and several other activities will focus on electric vehicles, raffles, and bike repair workshops.

The UAB will be celebrating its 15th Sustainable and Safe Mobility Week (Mobilitat Sostenible i Segura) as part of being an SiS Campus. The objective of this week’s activities is to raise awareness among community members on the economic, environmental and social advantages of using active means of transport (going on foot or by bike), public transport, and a rationalised use of private fuel-burning vehicles our daily commutes to and from campus.
The Sustainable and Safe Mobility Week is organised under the framework of the European Commission’s programme of SDGs and is a key element in the strategic Awareness Raising and Participation lines 2 and 3 of the UAB Mobility Plan (2018-2024).
As part of this year’s Mobility Week, the UAB community is invited to participate in a variety of activities:

In addition, all members of the UAB community will receive a 50% discount on their first month when they sign up for the BiciUAB bike rental service. More information can be found here.
Thursday 10 November
On Thursday 10 November, the UAB will hold its main activity of the week. From 12 noon to 3 p.m., the SiS Space on campus will be holding several activities and offering information on how to reach the UAB or move around campus in a sustainable manner.
Electric cars will also be available for those interested in test-driving them, and participants can enter to win in different raffles. There will also be a bike revision workshop, in 3 one-hour sessions, at the VAIC stand of the SiS Space. The workshop is free and eachperson must bring their own bike. Participants will learn to differentiate the parts of a bicycle, how to make them ergonomically comfortable, and conduct a basic diagnosis and revision. Administrative and service staff members participating in this workshop will be able to validate this activity and students can also receive credits. Please sign up to participate in this activity.
A photo exhibition will also be on display, entitled “Vianant no Travessis la Teva Vida!” and organised by the association Stop Accidentes.
