Roc Tarruell Roma, a graduate student in Audiovisual Communication and known artistically as “rokyo” has released his Final Degree Project today, September 26, in the form of a videoclip for his new single “Por a oblidar”.

Where do all those summer memories we've already forgotten go? This question is the center of Rokyo's reflection in his new song “Por a oblidar”, produced by Marc Gelabert. The audiovisual project is an indie-pop single full of nostalgia, which is accompanied by a video clip-short film shot in the valleys of Andorra, which invites us to immerse ourselves in an intimate and emotional atmosphere.

In a world in which we use photographs, videos, postcards and newspapers to preserve our memories, rokyo addresses the fragility of memory as the common thread of the piece. With a personal style, the Andorra-based artist takes us to relive the past and trace the traces of a relationship that, like the summer, has faded, leaving behind the memory of unforgettable moments.

With the influence of great artists such as Sen Senra, Frank Ocean, SZA and Ferran Palau, rokyo—semifinalist of Sona9 2023—takes a turn with respect to its first EP “Flors i Violes” and moves away from innocence and light to explore a more intimate and minimalist sound. His new lyrics are a mix of nostalgia and sincerity, wrapped in an atmospheric sound that makes us travel through the deepest corners of memory.

The project, created, directed and produced by rokyo as part of his Final Degree Project, goes beyond the usual music video format. This cinematographic piece tells the story of Alba (Ester Cela), a young fan of analogue photography, and Dídac (Paulí Canals), a more introspective boy. Their relationship, increasingly deeper, is corrupted by unexpected news that brings to light Alba's greatest fear: oblivion.

The video clip, which is now available on platforms such as YouTube, Spotify and Apple Music, among others, gives us a glimpse of the style of rokyo's second EP, which will be published at the end of November with the support of the Government of Andorra.

Don't miss this emotional piece that promises not to leave anyone indifferent!
