Presentation of the K-Lab platform on popular Korean culture

On 12 November at 6 p.m. the Palau Macaya in Barcelona will present the K-Lab platform in an event entitled The Rise of Popular Korean Culture as a Global Phenomenon. This platform brings together articles, dissemination contents and activities related to South Korea, promoted by the Casa Àsia and the UAB research group GREGAL, with the aim of contributing to the creation of a dynamic and rigorous space for information. It will offer specialised knowledge and analysis of the relations between Spain and South Korea in different sectors: public diplomacy, culture and language, society, economics and technology.

Jang Hyuncheol, Minister and General Consul of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, and Javier Parrondo, Director General of Casa Àsia, will inaugurate the event, in which several specialists in the areas of communication, East Asian studies, and the economy will speak on the Korean phenomenon and relations with South Korea.
