Francisco Veiga, lecturer of contemporary history at the UAB and researcher at CEDID-UAB, organises the conference "Security, Influence and Control. Spain in the Mediterranean (1919-1939)". The conference is part of the framework of the R&D project “The dictatorship of Primo de Rivera and the Second Spanish Republic in its relations with pan-Arabism and pan-Islamism, 1923-1937”. The event will take place on 3 and 4 April at the UAB Casa Convalescència in Barcelona (Carrer San Antoni Maria Claret 171) and is funded by the Spanish Ministry for Science, Innovation and Universities; the State Research Agency (MICIU/AEI); and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF, EU).
