Book presentation: "Causal Inference for Data Science"

Mathematician Aleix Ruiz de Villa, with a PhD from the UAB, will present his book entitled Causal Inference for Data Science (Manning) in an event taking place on 23 January at 12 noon in the Auditorium of the Centre for Mathematical Research (CRM), located at the UAB Faculty of Science. According to the author, "causal inference for data science shows ways of identifying causes based on data, even without experiments. This methodology allows understanding causality to make data-driven predictions and intervene to influence outcomes". The event, organised by the Statistical Modeling of Extreme Events and Health Risks of the UAB, will also include the presentation of practical results in real business scenarios.
